Xtar VC4 Light battery charger
The Xtar VC4 light battery charger is a 4-battery charger with a large, easy-to-read LCD screen. Based on the principle of the Xtar VC2, it recharges Li-ion chemistry IMR, INR and ICR batteries in sizes 10440, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17335, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 18700, 22650, 25500 and 26650. The following rechargeable Ni-MH/NI-CD batteries can also be recharged: AAAA, AAA, AA, A, SC, C, and D.
The 4 charging slots have two charging powers available. The two outer slots charge at a maximum of 1 A, while the two inner slots charge at a maximum of 0.5 A. This means you can adapt the charging speed to suit the size and power of the battery.
Its LCD screen makes it easy to see the charge level of each battery and its progress. When the batteries are fully charged, charging stops and the message "FULL" appears. Your batteries are protected against polarity reversal (an error message will be displayed to indicate this).
CAUTION: We recommend using a wall adaptor with a 2 A output current. An adaptor of lower capacity could overheat if the charger is used intensively.
Replacement batteries not included: complete your purchase with replacement batteries.
- Connecting the Xtar VC4 charger:
Connect your micro-USB cable to the Xtar VC4 charger and the USB plug to a wall adaptor with a maximum output current of 2.1 A. Your VC4 charger screen will light up.
- Charging your batteries:
Adapt the adjustable terminals according to the type of battery. Insert your batteries, observing the correct polarity. Release the adjustable pins to bring them into contact with the negative polarity of your batteries. The charger checks the batteries and starts charging. You can monitor the progress of each battery by checking the charging current in Amperes and the charging voltage in Volts using the ingenious counter in each charging compartment. When they are fully charged, the screen flickers several times for a few minutes, and the message "Full" appears under each slot.
- Charge control for each slot:
The VC4 screen only shows the charge for 2 slots at a time. The slots are named from left to right CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4. Use the button on the front of the device to control slots CH1 and CH4 or CH2 and CH3 simultaneously.
