Following the european regulation of 1st of January 2017, bottles with nicotine must have a maximum capacity of 10 ml, with a maximum nicotine strength of 20 mg/ml. So that vapers can continue to add the desired nicotine dosage to their DIY preparations, e-liquid manufacturers have created basic 10 ml bottles with 20 mg/ml nicotine (without flavouring).
A nicotine shot is therefore a neutral base bottle with the maximum authorised capacity (10 ml) and the maximum authorised nicotine dosage (20mg/ml).
The purpose of the nicotine shot is to add the desired dose of nicotine to a DIY preparation, to obtain the desired final nicotine dosage.
