Acrolein

Acrolein is a chemical molecule that results from the breakdown of Vegetable Glycerin (VG) during excessive heating (> 290°C). It is a toxic compound that irritates the skin and mucous membranes, and has a very pungent and unpleasant odour. You may feel it during a Dry Hit (excessive power or lack of liquid) and its taste will make you immediately remove your ecig from your mouth.
No acrolein is formed during normal use of the e-cigarette.
