With the Gen 80 S, Vaporesso praises ultra-lightness in a compact format. The design is simple, modern and fresh. It weighs an astonishing 49g without replacement battery, a real asset that makes it easy to hold, so easy you'd almost forget it was in your hand.

USB-C charging socket.

With a maximum output of 80 W, it's a high-performance device. Its width of 25.5 mm means it can accommodate clearomizers operating at high power levels.

Removable cover for 18650 battery.

The removable magnetic cover houses a 18650 battery (not supplied). Unlike the box with the screw-hatch, there's no risk of the screw thread wearing out.

There's also a USB Type C plug for charging if there's no battery charger available.

Large, clear and legible colour display.

The front panel features a large 0.96" screen and 3 Vaporesso-specific setting buttons. The large colour display stands out for its clarity and legibility, a feature that is rare enough to merit a special mention. You'll notice that the operating value in Watt appears very large on the screen.

The AXON chipset includes the classic operating modes and 2 others specific to Vaporesso: Variable Wattage and Voltage (to be used in 'Soft', 'Normal' or 'High' mode), Bypass, F(t) mode and Pulse mode.

• The F(t) mode brings out the flavours more clearly. It is linked to changes in temperature throughout the vape.
• The "Pulse" mode gives an impulse during vaping to produce a regular cloud during inhalation.

Use

- Charging your box mod:
Plug the USB cable into the port on your Vaporesso box (Type C socket), after inserting an 18650 battery in the recommended direction. While your box is charging, you can continue vaping. The box has a charge indicator.

- Using your box mod:
To access the menu, press 3 times or press and hold the button below the power adjustment buttons. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to navigate.

You can also navigate quickly by pressing the same button 3 times in less than a second. To enter the various options and confirm your choices, press the "power" button. Navigation instructions appear directly on the box screen.

The lock/unlock system is automatic. Press the "switch" 3 times in succession to unlock it.

- Switching your box mod on and off:
Press the "power" button 5 times to switch your box on and off.
